How to help beginners develop a lifelong exercise habit, with Naike Mouromtsev and Raphael Bender

I used to think teaching beginners was the least skilled job in the Pilates studio – now I think the opposite – I think the most skilled teachers should teach beginners.

In this episode, Naike shares her strategies for helping people take the leap into Pilates, welcoming them to the community, and supporting them to develop a long-term exercise habit they love.

About Naike Mouromtsev:
Naike was inspired to become a Pilates instructor after practising for a few years and experiencing the powerful effects of Pilates and consistent exercise. She made the decision to study with Breathe Education (for both Cert IV and Clinical diploma) at the end of her pregnancy and started her course at 8 weeks postpartum.
After two years teaching on Zoom, Naike and her business partner Fanny opened the doors to Kefi Studio Pilates in Sydney’s inner west, a boutique Pilates studio running reformer classes, circuit classes, Tower classes as well as clinical Pilates designed to make people stronger and focus more on how exercise should make them feel rather than how it should make them look.
