Breathe Education surpassed my expectations. I have been doing Pilates on/off for 20+ years. I do love all the benefits of doing Pilates and the impact it has on my body. I decided to do Breathe Education’s certification course for Mat and Reformer to gain more knowledge of Pilates, to get fit, and to gain more confidence in public speaking and teaching. Not only did I gain all of those things, but I also gained knowledge on what to expect when working in a studio and also solid advice on what it takes to run your own studio. I also gained new colleagues/friends within this industry.All of the Breathe instructors are awesome, and each one brought a different approach to teaching the curriculum. They all really know what they are talking about and are well seasoned within this industry. If you’re thinking of doing a Pilates course this is absolutely the company to go through! For me, the best thing about this course was I got to travel to the UK and Italy to visit my family and managed to qualify as a confident Pilates instructor, all whilst being a busy mum! I’ve even already found work in a studio! It’s all online based making it super manageable with a busy schedule!! So so glad I went with breathe education, the instructors are all super lovely! It is indicative there has been a considerable amount of research on structuring this course to make it suitable for all levels of learning abilities. I appreciated the content focus being on the student building knowledge and confidence in a nurturing environment.
I first found Breathe Education through a Google search. I was looking for a Pilates certification program that would be able to teach me the fundamentals. What I received from Breathe was so much more! After reading some reviews and asking a bunch of questions I decided to take the plunge.It was a longer program, set up over 21 weeks, with live tutorials that were mandatory to attend. I didn't realize just how comprehensive this course was going to be. It felt like I was back in school, which I loved. You have coursework, there's so much information (which at first feels a little overwhelming, but is so valuable), you have to meet outside of tutorials with your peers and practice teach, there's a logbook to track your personal practice, and there are assignments due throughout the course (but nothing you aren't prepared for, don't worry there's no essay due). Because of this highly organized setup, you actually LEARN the material. I can't imagine trying to learn all that I have in a weekend where you spend 8 hours a day cramming information and later have to take a test on it. I can say with certainty that I know the ins and outs of Pilates and teaching Pilates.But there's more. I didn't realize that you not only learn Pilates and how to teach it through the Breathe Education course, but you also gain the confidence needed to teach well. I can see the drastic change in my confidence in teaching, which I didn't expect to learn, I thought that would be something that came with years of actual teaching. Breathe Education gives you the tools and the space to be able to gain that confidence.Everyone that I've met and interacted with because of Breathe Education, whether that be my peers, trainers or support staff, have all been so lovely! I always felt supported and valued as a student and as a teacher. I left with new friends who I can stay in touch with for years to come!All in all, I enjoyed this program immensely, and if you're willing to put in the work you will come away with skills that will translate to so many aspects of life, not just teaching Pilates. This course was very flexible and convenient for me to schedule all my classes and complete my weekly coursework. I also appreciated the positive reinforcement that all staff gave me when I was feeling any sort of discouragement. I first became aware of Breathe Education in lock down and listening to Pilates Elephants pod casts became compulsory! A lot of things made complete sense and I began to change my thinking to a more clear, logical way of looking at the human body, (as opposed to what I had been told and what I had taken for granted).As a soft tissue therapist and a mat based Pilates teacher, my understanding of movement and how the body works has been greatly expanded!The visualised anatomy course I have recently joined, gives a fresh dimension to learning about the body with clear lecture slides and explanations.

I just finished my certificate and I am not just walking away with evidence based knowledge, I'm also walking away with confidence of not being an imposter any more and be able to fearlessly work with my clients. The Diploma in Clinical is broken down into 3 parts and each part is fully packed with anatomy, pathologies and patient care education. It is a full packed high level degree course all done in 1 year time. And I highly recommend if you want to take your Pilates career to next level.
I was recommended to do my certificate with Breathe education by the owner of the Pilates studio I go to. I must admit I was a bit worried about the course being all online but I had no reason to worry.The course far outdid my expectations. The trainers were amazing and were so supportive and helpful. To say that my experience with Breathe Education has been transformative would be an understatement. I first discovered Breathe through their excellent podcast, Pilates Elephants. I learned more about anatomy and pilates from listening to their podcast than I ever had in any of my previous training experiences over the last six years of my pilates career. I just finished my week 20 tutorial!! Breathe Education has a wonderful well thought out program. Although 20 weeks may seem like a lot it goes by quick. I can honestly say I feel very well prepared to start teaching thanks to all the amazing team members at Breathe Education!! Adam is one of my favorites, he goes well into detail and keeps it light and fun!! Naomi and Phoebe were also excellent I attended most of their tutorials and received incredible feedback and information from them. When I was looking to get certified in Pilates, I found one of my greatest challenges would be to find something that was affordable and geographically accessible. I found that based on my location, becoming certified was virtually impossible... unless I did it virtually! Which is how I came across Breathe! I love that they offer a well rounded and in depth program, where you don't have to spend thousands of extra dollars for "specialties", like prenatal and injuries--they are already a part of the program. I appreciate how they set you up to succeed. They incorporate practical assessments throughout the course, instead of having one big test at the end; I personally do not test well, even when I fully understand a concept, so this was incredibly helpful. Additionally, the community of people I met here were all fantastic, and I look forward to seeing what they do with their careers. They are evidence based, encouraging, and darn great instructors. Choosing to start my pilates cert through Breathe was one of the scariest decisions I had to make. But let me tell you, the risk is so worth the reward. You will not regret taking the courageous jump to get your cert through Breathe. The trainers are incredible, and always available. The program is fail-proof. The people you meet are so encouraging. My experience with Breathe Education was fabulous! I was very skeptical to work on a 5 month course that was solely virtual, but the trainers and materials provided made it SO nice and manageable. I fell in love with pilates and decided to become a teacher so I could help people feel as good as I felt when I attended pilates classes. I researched online different types of courses and Breathe stood out to me after reading their reviews. I initially enrolled to start the course in November, however due to some work commitments I had to reschedule my start date to March. When I started the course I felt a little uneasy as I was working full time and wasn't sure if I could commit to the course work. I raised my concerns with Breathe staff and they assured me I was not alone. Many others were in my position and were able to achieve success working full time and studying.I was never a confident person which I thought might be something that held me back from completing this course. I can confidently say that this course proved me wrong with all the doubts I had. So beyond happy I finally took the leap and decided to do this 20 week course. Hi my name is Michelle Salden, I joined BE to complete my Cert IV in Mat & Reformer Pilates in July 2022.I'm now 58 years old, come from Gumbaynggirr Country on mid north coast NSW, and can happily let you know that doing this training was the best decision I've ever made!I'm a retired Steiner School Teacher, however I also have a background in Natural Therapies, and am trained in 23 healing modalities from Aromatherapy to Zen Shiatsu, added to this I am also a dance & movement facilitator through my studies in Biodanza.So I basically like to help people fully express themselves to live their best and most healthy life.I believe in innate human potential, and very much see sedentary lifestyles as hindering & sabotaging our ability to live our best life.Unfortunately, sedentary lifestyles cause a number of health issues including: poor circulation, brain fog, body armour, lack of vitality, poor sleep, increasing problems with balance & mobility issues, stress and overall lack of physical and vitality well awareness.I very much see Pilates, and this particular BE Cert IV Course as a deep acknowledgement to amend all these conditions and ailments and can heartily testify that it did so for me.Pilates Mat & Reformer exercises through this course have helped me to reclaim my:PhysicalVitalMentalEmotionalSpiritualhealth & living.The course is inclusive, supportive & can assist you to live your best life ever, and then show you how to help others do the same simply by sticking with it, and showing up!Is it really for anyone? As a recent graduate, I have no hesitation in recommending Breathe Education to anyone interested in gaining certification in Reformer and Mat Pilates. I can't recommend Breathe Education highly enough. I completed my Cert IV two years ago and have started my Diploma which I am absolutely loving. I'm not easily impressed. Ask my family and friends. Especially after my dealings with some other International Pilates Education providers in the past. But so far, I've only got good things to say about Breathe Education and their team.Before enrolling for the Breathe Clinical Pilates Diploma, I dived into the many free and valuable resources (Podcast, Community Sessions, Raph's IG account). This gave me a good feel for what to expect. Real talk. Healthy debate. Regularly refreshed course content to reflect current research and best practice. They seem committed to Pilates practitioners flourishing whether employed or self-employed profitable businesses which I LOVE!A quick call with Kylie helped me to ascertain whether the Diploma or the Certificate was best suited to me. The onboarding process was easy too.So far, I'm impressed by the bonus 1-1 Business Planning Session I had with Raph, the promptness with which the Breathe team reply to any queries by email or on Slack, and the layout of the course content and communication across smart tech platforms that don't lag. I can't wait to get into the Visualized Anatomy Course which is waiting patiently for me on the platform.The course itself is great. The layout of the course was great, I loved that we could work at our own pace, and that they gave us only so much material at a time so I never felt overwhelmed but always eager! I was not sure how it being all online would go, but it still felt very personal, I got to meet people from all around the world, and I feel ready to teach both in person or online! I am excited to continue my pilates journey.
I am thankful that I made a great decision to choose Breathe Education for Certificate IV pilates course. I have zero pilates matwork and minimal reformer experience before I start the course course. I was really struggling in the beginning as I know not much of any movement or exercises. I need to remember the movement and teach at the same time which is challenging. But trainers in Breathe and peers in course are really supportive, their feedbacks and constructive comments had made me improve throughout the journey. Now I can confidently teach pilates. I would love if Breathe can have physical class for cert/diploma students.
Learning pilates instruction through Breath Education was most enjoyable.The process's Breathe has in place for learning the coursework & practical is well supported with the on line education layout & slack Group chat as well as group rooms.
I absolutely loved my experience getting my pilates certification through Breathe Education. Having only 1 (one!) pilates class under my belt, Breathe Education did a great job creating a healthy and empowering learning environment. The formatting offered just enough flexibility so that I could manage my professional and personal life while taking on further education and it also offered enough structure to facilitate progression and accountability. Initially I was worried at how effective an online platform could be to learn how to instruct pilates, but Breathe has mastered this! I felt very connected to my Breathe Community- both the instructors and fellow students. I also felt a strong sense of empowerment in being able to ask clarifying questions and seek further assistance. Tho it was all a virtual experience, there were enough opportunities and requirements to practice teach in the "real world" so that I feel ready and confident to bring my teaching to my community. I can not speak highly enough about my experience with Breathe Education!
WOW... what an amazing journey this course has been, from beginning to end there was support from the Breathe team. I have completed this course feeling super confident and ready to hit the ground running.Breathe was recommended to me by the pilates studio I practiced at, they said it was one of the most progressive and up to date courses on the market in the world, which after completing I can absolutely agree with.I loved Breathe as it gave me the flexibility to do all my learning online, which meant I could maintain my full-time job too. The coursework was presented clearly and for the most part there wasn't that annoying filler information that lots of courses do. My only criticism is that the average 9hrs of time required to do the work each week is not true, I and the people in my PT sessions said it was much more like 15hrs a week, which did make for some huge days when working full time with family commitments.Natalie my trainer was absolutely brilliant, our weekly tutes were always so much fun and inspiring, and she was there to answer any questions we had along the way too. I loved connecting with others doing the program and have made some lifelong friends for sure.100% recommend this course to anyone wanting to become a Pilates teacher. THANK YOU!
From the first conversation to the last session my experience with Breathe Education was wonderful. The teachers were all very knowledgeable and professional. The course work and road to completion for success was easily mapped out and resources were always available every step of the way. This course has been life changing. After the pandemic, I needed something to re-start my business as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. In the past I looked at various Pilates instructor programs, but it did not resonate. Then I listened to an elephant podcast, and I was hooked.When I looked into the training, I loved it was all online, except for one weekly tutorial. This training kicked my butt, and it helped my own flexibility and movement skills. And very important, the course was exciting and motivating! The way the course is set up is very organized so you do succeed, but you have to show up and do the work every single week.At the end, the learning and skills, experiences with other students, and confidence as a teacher really make me excited for the next chapter as a Pilates teacher.
